Mehmet, I sincerely apologize for my wording. I should have written something more in line with "I feel like" or "I have a feeling". My statement was definitive and it should not have been. I also maligned you without proof. My apologies for that as well. It is easy when responding to someone on Medium to forget that it is a public, not a private, conversation. I will be more careful in the future.

You showcase many writers I admire and I will continue reading their work published on Illumination. I only hope your editors are more careful in the future so pieces like the one by Nua don't see the light of day and that no one, including yourself, associated with your publication defends such hateful and discriminatory words.
