Mia, this may well be my favorite of your Photo-a-Day submissions! I like how you wove a theme through your photos and narrative and appreciate the poetry you shared. Like you, I use the PictureThis app and enjoy the poems referenced there. The Emerson poem you quoted is one of my favorite, and I really enjoyed the John Clare poem.

Of all your photos - each so lovely - I like the thistle ones best they are not typically the subject of photos and yet, they are quite lovely in their own way.
