Mimi, I live in Florida. We go to NJ/NYC once a year, although we did not make it there last year. We stay at my stepdaughter’s in West Orange and travel to the city each morning, returning in the evening. We were there for 7 days but unable to go the city for 3 due to my back pain and/or weather. Of the 4 days we did go to the city, only one went as planned, and it was the only day I felt well and experienced almost no pain.

Our annual trip to the northeast is the only true vacation we take. I work long hours, and we only manage a few 3-day weekends during the year. Since we didn’t travel north last year, this was our first vacation in two years, making the disappointments of the trip more acute.
