My daughter and grandchildren lived with us for 6 years then, after they got an apartment, I kept the children from Friday evening to Sunday morning. The kids were one and 3 when they moved in with us and 9 and 11 when my daughter remarried and they moved over 1,000 miles away. I haven’t seen them in 17 months. The kids are 11 and 13 now. We were once so close and now, I feel as though I barely know them.

I assume you’ve been writing poetry for quite a while and just recently started sharing, correct? You are too good to have just started writing poetry!
