My husband is retired and at home most of the day while I still work. Because I have my own business and work at different locations, my hours vary, meaning that my arrival time is never the same. I always call to let Ben know when I am leaving my last client of the day. Our two younger dogs — both 10-years-old — know that an evening call means I am coming home. As soon as the phone rings, Ben says they run for the front door where they wait until I come through it. Unfortunately for them, Ben sometimes asks me to stop at the store on my way. Poor Sophie and Syau may stand at the front door for 30 or 40 minutes waiting and waiting for my arrival!
