My last three dogs, Pooh who passed 2 months ago and her mom who passed 4 years ago and my still-alive Peke, refuse(d) to play with toys — absolutely no toys. Throw a ball and they just look at you. But, they loved real bones! With my husband being from Argentina, asados (Argentine cookouts with lots and lots of meat) happen often in our home and the bones were always saved for the dogs. Unfortunately, as they aged, the digestive systems of Pooh and Chanelito could no longer handle bones. They could smell the meat on the grill and just knew they were getting bones but that did not happen. Sad. Aging sucks for all of us!

Adore your dogs, alto! Always look forward to their photos showing up in my feed.
