My pain subsided considerably today, Jim, but we did not go into the city until evening due to rainy weather. And, when we did venture to the city Ben’s son-in-law drove because we were meeting up with Ben’s son and his partner for a birthday dinner at an Argentine restaurant there (Ben’s daughter and son celebrated birthdays this week). Therefore, my walking today was limited. We may remain in Jersey tomorrow because the weather is supposed to be worse. The rest may be good for me. I stopped my muscle relaxer which helped my psoas muscle problem but also caused my equilibrium to be off — not a good situation when walking on busy Manhattan streets! I kept lurching uncontrollably from side to side, rather like someone after a serious night of drinking or even like my stepmother who had extensive nerve damage from chemotherapy. Not only was it embarrassing and dangerous, but the lurching and uneven walking was causing pain in my other side!!
