My succulents and cacti stay outdoors all year. If we have a hard freeze, I cover them, but that’s it.

Yes, Penny, HOAs can be intrusive. There is one for a single-family home development in our neighborhood that is known for being very unreasonable. They’ve even been sued by homeowners. I was on our HOA board of directors for almost two years and hated it. Dealing with the HOA management company and the townhome owners was like a full-time unpaid job! Mostly, it was stupid complaints/issues/problems/annoyances that were a waste of my precious time when I was still working 40+ hours a week. I didn’t mind working with the budget or making big decisions but the little stuff was soul-sapping. It’s amazing how people can make big deals out of the tiniest things.
