No one, including neighbors who have lived here since the 80s, ever heard of or saw a gator in these waters. It was a safe area. The 2 white ducks lived several years here with no fear. Now, those of us with dogs, especially small ones, avoid the ponds, lakes, and deep ditches. We once had more the 5 miles of walking area that my dogs and I frequented. Now, we stick to two streets only, totaling less than 2 miles. It’s not just wildlife that’s affected.

Of course, this is Florida but the increase in gator sightings in this densely populated neighborhood is frightening.
