No, you didn’t do anything wrong! Everyone has problems creating unique formatting. It seems logical that if you can have a photo to the side, you should be able to add text next to it but it is very hard to get the text to stay where you want it. It looks correct until the piece is published. I’ve gotten so frustrated trying to do the same! Once, I accomplished it after an hour of manipulation, but I don’t know what, of all the things I tried, worked! Consequently, I haven’t been able to create the same effect again.

Poets are especially annoyed with the formatting issues. Many poems need to be presented in a certain format to be read and understood correctly but good luck making that happen on Medium! I have seen a few successful formatted pieces but I can’t figure out how they made it happen.

I don’t think your piece lost any of its meaning or beauty and, in fact, I think the larger photos are even more gorgeous!

Again, I apologize. Maybe someone will answer my request for advice.
