Oh, Kathy, I know you suffer from your physical maladies! Sometimes our bodies feel more like our enemies, don’t they?

We were on vacation for a week and my hip insisted on rotating, causing great pain when I walked or climbed stairs. First real vacation in two years and my activity was severely limited. Now, I have a regimen of chiropractor appointments over the next couple weeks that will make getting caught up a work an even greater challenge than it is. I try to be grateful that I am able to move even when my body doesn’t want to.

It’s hard to love our bodies when it feels as if they hate us or at least, are laughing at our efforts to be normal.

Hugs from Florida, my friend.

I was always a writer but lived in a bookkeeper’s body before I found Medium and broke free — well, almost. Working to work less and write more.
