Oh, Matthew, I grieve for you and your dad. What a difficult time for both of you.

I am at an age where I’ve seen the passing of many who were important in my life and at an age when it’s prudent to contemplate my own and my husband’s endtimes. Not that we have life-threatening illnesses but there is a time when facing the inevitable helps us accept the inevitable.

I hope you find peace in this process. Do what you can with great joy and appreciation for all that came before. Know that you are giving him the greatest gift possible right now — your time and devotion.
