Oh, my father repeatedly recreated himself, Tracy! He was captain in the army, then a carpenter and a homebuilder, he owned a lumber yard and hardware store, he did excavation, built and repaired boats, sold manufactured boats, crabbed and oystered, owned a big rig and hauled mobile homes around Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina, and then worked for the Mayflower moving company traveling all over the United States.
He got bored and restless easily and also didn’t get along well with others. He’d get sick of his boss or his employees or his suppliers or his customers and suddenly change jobs or sell his business and do something different. He was a difficult man.
