Oh, no worries, Tracy! Not terribly unusual for Florida and the ducks are adaptable. We are wetter than usual but not as wet as when a tropical storm or hurricane blows through and excess moisture is better than dry.
I’ve lived through droughts here that are terrifying! Wildfires torching thousands of acres, air so smoky that breathing is difficult and respiratory ailments are rampant, water wells and lakes dry up, fish and water-dependent wildlife die in scores, fields of fruits and vegetables become agricultural waste forcing grocery prices to skyrocket and farmland to be sold to developers resulting in more condos and golf courses that further deplete the water table.
Definitely better to have high humidity and rainfall than the alternative!
