Oh, Shilpi, I am so sorry for your losses and for your fears. No one is so good or so special that traumatic events won't find them. If you live long enough you will see many people you love pass - it is an indication that you loved deeply and were loved in return. Isn't that wonderful?

Life is not fair. There are truly horrible people that seem to sail through life and many truly wonderful people who are slammed with challenges and losses. But, no one is immune. Even those who seem blessed have concerns we don't know about.

Please don't hamper your life with too many fears. There are few bad occurrences that we can truly prevent. We do what we can to provide reasonable safety for ourselves and our loved ones - seat belts, locked doors, medical checkups, wearing masks during a pandemic - and then, we live and enjoy the moments we are given.

Please don't live in the shadows of life, afraid to dance in the sun. I am hoping the best for you and your family.
