Ok, I am one of those women who had a relatively uneventful menopause. Unpredictable periods — yes, for a year. Heavy bleeding — on and off for the same year. Hot flashes — very few and only at night for short durations, like a minute or two, felt like a wave of embarrassment rather than one of those dreaded hot flashes. Mood swings — who knows? Seems those were just part of an unhappy married life. However, when I thought I was done, after 10 months without a drop of blood, it returned. For three months, it was back. Now that really made me depressed. Even though the periods during those three months weren’t all that bad, they felt terrible because I thought I was rid of them forever, three months before!
