Penny, I've never seen so many pigeons in a rural area. Here, pigeons are seen in cities.
The street signs are funny, especially since they appear to be where there are no streets! Our city used to have named streets but changed to a decipherable number system many decades ago. When they erected the new, taller, modern, metal signs, they often kept the old, shorter concrete ones with the original street names, retaining a little of the city's history. They are scattered throughout the city and delightful to discover when walking.
I enjoyed your trek very much, Penny, and I hope spring hangs on now!
