Roses are problematic everywhere, aren't they, Louise?

I have to admit that I am not a rose-growing fan due to the number of diseases and pests that plague them. The one seen in the left most photo is a floribunda and a special plant that we put in as a memory of a beloved uncle of Bruce. It seems to like being in that spot and is relatively unbothered by pests or disease. I like it against the sky in this shot.
