Sam, this is unbelievably lovely. Although not a poem, your words are poetic. Although I don't long for the cold winters I once experienced, I do miss the feeling of slowing down, of hibernating that we don't get in my world that is only cold for tiny bursts. We don't get to rest and rejuvenate. I do miss that.
