Shannon, I was raised in rural Virginia. Visited West Virginia often. My mother was involved minorly in the country music industry in that area, particularly with WWVA and musicians in Wheeling. Your anthem to your home state is beautifully sad, acknowledging the best and worst of those mighty hills.
