Sherry, guinea pigs (and hamsters) and cats are not natural friends! Never would I leave a cat alone with a guinea pig! I am always sitting vigilantly next to them. Sébastien is interested in the corn, not the piggy, although he sometimes reaches out and gently touches Mauricio, as though petting him. However, Mauricio’s prey instincts get activated and he becomes scared and his teeth chatter. So, the cat petting the piggy is forbidden. As long as Sébastien doesn’t touch him, Mauricio interacts with him on his own terms, sometimes sitting right next to him.
