So, here is the rub, my dear Fred, I am not a big fan of black and white photography. I love color. Vibrant, shocking color! Flowers, butterflies, sunsets, and sunrises. The deeper or the brighter the color, the better. But, your defense of black and white has me opening to the notion that it may be more than a nod to the past.

I’ve done a few b & w photos but only for Snapshots prompts, growling through the entire process. But, the results were surprisingly satisfying and appealing.

Can’t say you will coax me to the dark side (pun intended) but you’ve presented an admirable case for monochrome pictures.

Perhaps, just perhaps, I will experiment more with less — less color.

Truly an excellent post about photography. Well done!
