In Response to July 18th One-Line Poem Prompt by Terijo and Kathy Jacobs

In the spicy heat of a Florida July,
I think of long ago winters in long ago places —
Crispy snow crunching,
Nose-tickling flakes,
Burning inward breaths,
Vapory outward breaths,
Fires crackling,
Furnaces coughing,
Teapots whistling,
Liquor warming —
And, I am so grateful for

Spicy Florida Summers!
