Sury, this made me cry in delight! I was not a big Dickinson fan until recent years. I thought her poems to be too simple for such a complicated world. But, as I aged, I came to appreciate her simplicity and to revel in her love of nature.
I downloaded am Audible book of her poems to my phone and listen when life is too overwhelming, which is too often is these days.
She is simplicity at its finest, an attribute I couldn't appreciate until recently.
See, this is why I love aging - it sharpens one's focus and filters the noise, allowing one to appreciate the whispers in the daylight.
I particularly loved the way you wove your words with hers. What an amazing way to honor someone else's work. It is as if you were co-conspirators in poetry. What a privledge to have Emily as your muse!
Thank you a thousand times for this! It is a stormy night. I should be and want to be walking my dog after a long and stressful workday. I was feeling deprived and disappointed and now I am elated because you brought Emily to visit!
