Thank you for these encouraging and uplifting words and for India Arie’s music. She is one of my beloved singers and yet, I haven’t listened to her in such a long time. Not loving myself enough, right? After these two songs, I will download her album and allow it to love me all day 🌷

Like many women, I was too busy with work and a multitude of responsibilities to give National Women’s Day much attention. Seems most of the world ignored it, too. We women are needed and sometimes wanted but rarely appreciated and certainly not honored and respected as we should be and as we should demand. Nor do we treat ourselves as we should expect others to treat us.

Let’s work on that, shall we? For a year, let us give ourselves the honor and respect we deserve. Perhaps, our example will spur others to do the same.
