Thank you, Kitanya, for writing about a side to the Kaepernick story few think about and one that is rarely addressed. All union members should be vigorously supporting him, no matter how they feel about the kneeling -during - the-anthem issue. I am appalled at the lack of support he’s received from his fellow football union members and union members in general, not to mention all who believe in the freedom of speech, personal expression, and peaceful decent.
