Here, it's not only the expensive of renovations and repairs, but simply getting someone to do them is a challenge. When our home was re-piped in May, holes remained in walls and our bathroom floor had a chasm from being jackhammered. I called several repairmen/contractors and they were all scheduling 5 to 6 months in the future. Fortunately, one of my clients had a contractor doing work at her house and her daughter's and she talked him into making time for my repairs, too. I still had to wait more than a month, but that was better than 5 to 6 months!
