Thank you, Sherry. I'm sorry that your husband also experienced losing his mother when he was young. And, it sounds like we had the same complications with our fathers not being very good as substitute mothers. I hope your husband had someone in his family - a grandmother, aunt - who was there for him. I didn't. My only living grandmother and aunt were halfway across the country, although my grandmother did live with us for a year after my mother passed.

I am still riddling through the effects of my mother passing before I knew her. It's a never-ending puzzle.
