My stepson has an innate ability to learn languages. Before traveling to a country, he studies the language for a few weeks and is fluent enough to easily get by as a tourist. After years working with computers, he was able to convert his talent for and love of languages into a career. I believe he currently translates in six languages, although his position in his translation company is now mostly administrative, overseeing other translators and communicating with foreign clients
