That's what we do, Angie - try to be alright. And, it's not always easy.

I envy you being in a town with so much family. My daughter (only child) and her family live more than 1,000 miles away. She gave birth to her third child this past summer and due to Covid and my own health issues, I wasn't there as I was for the birth of her other two. I have yet to old my third grandchild. My husband and I don't even celebrate Christmas anymore. We send gifts north but do nothing here. Because "it is NOT alright". Once the gifts are shipped, I choose to ignore Christmas.
