And, yes, it does appear that our citizens are becoming numb to assault after assault, lie after lie, outrage after outrage. Admittedly, I sometimes avoid many news sources I listen to or read because I am overwhelmed with anger and deep sadness.

Sometimes, we need a break before we break.

But, in between those breaks, we need to pay attention, stay active, be advocates, give support, and express our outrage.

The assaults on fairness, common decency, and equality won’t stop if we stop.
