The road is long and treacherous, Suzanne, but we must stay on it and find ways to make a difference and to make a better world.

I follow my county on Facebook to get updates about the virus and any new regulations concerning it, and reading the comments from the deniers is simply too much to bear. When did we become so ignorant and so self-centered that we can deny facts and science and put ourselves before everyone else around us???

I read that a young man who attended one of those outrageous Covid parties died from the virus. Perhaps, I should feel a certain sadness for him and his loved ones. But, I don't. All I can think is "good riddance" - one less ignorant American to deal with.

I don't like when I feel this callous but it has come down to a sense of self-preservation. Them or everyone else. I choose everyone else.
