The Wheels of Ferris
In Response to 2/28/18 Chalkboard One Line Poem Prompt by Daakshi K and Kathy Jacobs

The Ferris Wheel of our marriage
Left me dangling,
Cursing Mr. Ferris,
Clinging to fetid air
With the tips of my fingers,
Wishing to fall,
Dreading a fall,
Unsure of today or tomorrow
But needing to let go
Allowing the descent to be
What it would be.
