There is an odd combination of urgency and complacency when it comes to the season, isn’t there, A. Christine? Rather like a dance that starts slow and ends as a jitterbug.
Here in Florida, we are facing our first temps in the mid-30s next week. I’ve been busy bringing in tender plants and gathering more hardy ones in groups that can be easily covered if we dip to freezing, which I don’t expect.
But, that is next week. Today is gorgeous! Sunny and just south of 80 degrees with a gentle breeze and low humidity. Tomorrow will be 80 but cloudy and thunderstorms in the afternoon that will usher in a cold front.
See, a dance — slow and gentle today and frenetic tomorrow!
