They grow here in Florida, but we call them calamondin. Haven’t ever seen them grown commercially or served anywhere, though. I love them — I love the mix of sour and sweet with the sour being dominant. There were a few calamondin trees in our old neighborhood and I would grab a handful and eat them while walking our dog. Sadly, I haven’t found one of those trees in this neighborhood. I miss them.
I can understand not liking them if you don’t like sour flavors. But, am surprised that they frighten you. Interesting.
