Tre, my home often has music — my husband sings tangos in the morning as he starts his day and prepares our breakfast. He also plays music — tangos, Argentinian folklore, and American pop/rock from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s as he goes about the daily chores of a retired husband. However, I am not at home then and by the time these long work days end for me, I arrive home at 7 pm or later when the TV has replaced music.

In my car, as I go from office to office, I listened to an Audible book. At work, I get too busy and forget to listen to music — either quietly in the background or with headphones.

I am charging my headphones at this moment and plan to keep them handy as I go about my days! Thanks for the reminder to let music float me along.

I was always a writer but lived in a bookkeeper’s body before I found Medium and broke free — well, almost. Working to work less and write more.
