Unfortunately, the medical practice where his cardiologist and vascular surgeon work (Ben is also diabetic and has had several circulation issues and operations) and where is pacemaker is monitored will no longer be accepting his supplemental Medicare insurance, although it’s United Healthcare, a major company. He received the letter of that stressful news the day after leaving the hospital from his stroke.

He must find new doctors and pacemaker lab or change insurance. If he changes insurance, he has to make sure his other physicians accept it. Unlikely, they all have to will, so he’ll still have doctors to change.

Sigh.
