Don't become weary with local photos. Sometimes, I get the best comments and the most claps for photos I consider rather repetitious. There is always a new angle and different lighting, Ben and I rarely go more than a couple of miles from home. Other than my photo road trips with my friend Gina, nearly all my pictures at in my backyard or in my neighborhood.
Yes, I know that living in the far north, your winters can be a little monotonous. But, there is such much beauty there. You just have to search a little for it.
As Kim wrote, it is so much fun learning about your area of Canada. I visited there when I was a teenager but don't remember that much. I was sick with a bad cold at the time and the trip is a blur. Your photos help to jog those very foggy memories.
