What a lovely desk! I’m sure it will find an appropriate home where someone will use it to write and study.

Karen, in 2017 we moved from an 1,800 sq ft house which was our home for 13 years to a 1,300 sq ft home. Things had to go for the move to be possible. I didn’t have anything with as much history as Papa’s Desk but I did have many sentimental items, including furniture, that didn’t make the cut. Those decisions were difficult and emotional, but afterwards I felt lighter, easier, freer.

In our new home, my intention is to pare down regularly. Eliminate the unnecessary before it weighs me down. Your lovely story was a good reminder of that. Thank you.
