What a range of emotions flooded me while I read this, John! First, delight that you were having an much anticipated outing. Ben and I still don't feel virus-safe enough for public venues, but I'm happy for others who are venturing out with caution and care.

Next, a small wave of disappointment about the inclement weather because I feared it would keep you at home.

Then, relief that you were able to go and arrived safely downtown, even finding a nearby parking space.

Next, fear when you encountered blustery winds that almost resulted in falls.

Once again, relief that no one fell and that the young man came by and helped you to the playhouse.

Amusement at your description of the young man wearing shorts and a heavy winter coat.

Then, happiness that you saw and enjoyed the play and arrived home safely.

Lastly, more amusement to the point of a giggle when I read your description of your depressed dog and uncaring cats.

An engrossing story, John - very well done!
