What fun this was to read, Deborah! And, we share some of the same slang words like: ankle biters (though not very common over here), cold one, hold your horses, thongs (in some areas of the USA), betcha, and flat out. Some of the others I figured out; some left me scratching my head.

Hmm, maybe I need to do a poem of Southern slang??
