Women have more foot pain than men, probably due to the stylish but damaging shoes we wear — well, not me so much, I’ve usually chosen comfort over style. But, I digress. Women do not want to give up their 2 and 3 inch heels. I work with two women in their late 50’s who wear stilettos, even with jeans. One is still free of foot pain but the other is in agony by the end of each day. A 30-something woman also sports the highest heels she can find and is usually barefoot by 3 pm. This shoe fetish is insane! Why would anyone choose pain over comfort?? Sometimes my own gender confounds me!
