Yes. I discovered the first gator in a ditch along a city walking/biking trail the first week of July. Actually, one of my dogs did. I went through channels and trappers were sent. They came over a period of two weeks before the gator was apprehended. Meanwhile, Carmela and some Moscovies and the mules disappeared.

Then, about 3 weeks ago, someone who lives on the pond heard a commotion in the evening and went outside to see a new gator disappearing in the pond with Carmen in his mouth. Again, the trappers came out. They found half-eaten Carmen in the pond but no gator. All the manmade ponds, drainage ditches, and the natural lake behind our townhome are connected by pipes. A gator can easily disappear.

The trappers kept coming until they caught the second gator yesterday but it was too late for Diego. He hasn’t been seen since Friday morning. The couple on the pond who fed the domestic ducks have looked everywhere for him and found white feathers near the pond.
