Yes, Jack, black bellied whistling ducks. There are about 50 that travel back and forth between our lake and the one across the boulevard. Noisy little buggers! My husband says they should be called screaming ducks! They are our morning alarm, waking us with their early morning ruckus. I love their lively whistles and screeches that remind me of my squealing grandchildren when they were younger ☺
