You and Larry are such caring people, Janis. What an ordeal, even though I know you would go through it again. I've been in similar situations, though not full-time, and have an idea of what you went through. Even last year, when my husband was so ill and then had a bad fall, the stress of caring for him - and he was nice to me! - was immense.

Isn't the power of the mind amazing? More than once I've known people who had no life-threatening conditions or whose conditions were not life-threatening at the time and they just decided to give up - that it was "time to go" - there is so much power in that belief.

Now breathe deeply, take a walk in nature, and regain your life.
