You and this piece are very impressive, Quasi. Where did you acquire your sewing skills?
Last night, Ben and I were watching an HGTV home renovation show (one of my mindless pleasures) in which two women were sewing a pillow cover. I felt a rise of anxiety, as I did reading this - just a little, no reason for concern!
Memories of my stepmother trying to teach 16-year-old me to sew flooded over me. I learned to knit (hate it), crochet (love it), and various other stitch-crafts, but I could not get sewing. I blame the machine. I'm not good with mechanical objects. Couldn't grasp the threading and adjusting concepts. Couldn't get my hands and foot to coordinate. I was a disaster. Only made one simple a-line skirt. I wore it three times before the seams unraveled. Sigh.
Thanks for the lesson, but I will be buying all the masks I need until the Trump Pandemic subsides!
