You are winning my heart, writing about water birds, Urszula! My favorite photography subjects are herons, ibis and ducks. Great blue herons are number one in my book but the ibis are in the top three. However, I haven’t seen any scarlet ibis in the wild so I am very jealous of your experience.

Like you, I find that watching water birds is almost meditative.
