You can create a Medium publication just for your own work, Deborah, but it takes some time for people to discover it. But you have full control.

You can always include links to your website at the bottom of your submissions to W&W or any other Medium publication. Nothing wrong with that.

If you don't want your own publication, you can start a series on W&W. Give it a name and then number the submissions. Example, water birds - call in The Water Birds Series - Part 1, then Part 2, etc. You can make up any sort of series you want. Limit the photos to each part so they aren't overwhelming. You could group them by commonalities.
