Your poetry takes my breath away, kat, particularly those about Hawaii. In spite of not having visited there, I feel I know it in a slight but profound sense through you and your work. When I saw the haiku challenge was to honor a fellow Mediumite, there was no thinking to be done — it had to be you, especially after your recent heartbreaking poem about the slaughter of nature.
