Your serious side is always evident even when you make us laugh, Harper. You remind me of the little boy who dares to say the emperor isn’t wearing clothes. You point out the ridiculousness that many of us miss. The ridiculousness that is dangerous in its acceptance as normal when nothing is normal anymore. Thank you for keeping us aware of the dangers hidden in an exhausting flood of babble.

Your posts about Leslie were priceless and precious. You introduced us to that lovely, brave woman and she continues to live here on Medium because of you.

Harper, I discovered you as the Jester but love you as the Friend.

I was always a writer but lived in a bookkeeper’s body before I found Medium and broke free — well, almost. Working to work less and write more.
